What moves an endpoint management bill
The internal buyer usually pays more per device than the MSP, because the volume that earns the discount is not there. Term is the lever it has instead.
Devices are not counted alike. Servers, workstations, mobiles and virtual machines are priced differently by some vendors and identically by others.
Security is nearly always separate. A per-device figure covering monitoring and patching but not endpoint protection is a partial answer to the question most teams are asking.
Ask for the whole deployed configuration as one per-device figure at your renewal count. That single line is the only thing that compares cleanly across vendors.
